This is one of my favourite pictures in the world. Georgian Bay, along with Whistler, are my two favourites places to be. Words can't really describe my love of this capture.. it just takes everything I love about Georgian Bay and puts it into one. The smooth and rolling glacially eroded granite islands with wind-blown pines make for such a beautiful landscape, along with the narrow channels of Lake Huron water passing between them. It was a perfect day, with fair weather cumulus clouds adding a breathtaking touch as they reflect off the water. Then, having Kristy enjoying it to the same extent as I do, reflecting on the unbelievable environment around us... it is just perfect! I also love it because it wasn't set up at all.. Kristy and I were exploring our island that we camped on during our canoe trip, and we just couldn't believe how breathtaking this area was so we stopped to enjoy it, and I quickly took the shot to keep it as natural and beautiful as possible. I wouldn't ever change anything about that perfect time. I love this.
I am glad others like it too..
Are you planning any more canoe trips?
